Authorities have now contained the fire but, it’s still burning. At around eleven in the morning Alton fire department received a call about a working fire in the area of mile 9 and western road in rural mission. Upon arrival, firefighters did find a five to eight acre fire that was consuming tires and brush. A FOX citizen reporter was present on the scene and sent the video in of when the vessel went up in flames. Alton Blaze Damages Welding Shop

ALTON (KFXV) — Fire officials are investigating another blaze in Alton this time at a welding shop that occurred this afternoon. According to authorities, around 1 this afternoon, firefighters responded to the business near La Homa, just west of Mile 7. Employees of the shop were welding when sparks ignited brush, causing the fire. The flames also caused damaged to an abandoned structure nearby. McAllen (KFXV) — Investigators have ruled a fire that left dozens of families displaced — an accident. According to McAllen’s fire marshal, the investigation revealed that the flames originated in the kitchen of one of the apartment units.
