Mission (KFXV) Authorities are investigating a house fire that leaves a family homeless tonight. Fire fighters put out the blaze or so they thought — it sparked again minutes after they left. Former Edinburg Water Park Fire Ruled Arson

Edinburg firefighters and Hidalgo County fire officials are investigating an arson at a property that used to be a Waterpark. Around 10 pm Monday night authorities responded to a blaze that burned a pile of brush at the parking lot of what used to be ‘super splash’ water park. The property is located at the intersection of Freddy Gonzalez and Raul Longoria. It took fire fighters about 5 hours and close to 100 thousand gallons of water to put out the flames. LA ROSITA, TX – Deputies responded to a structure fire this morning and discovered narcotics inside the abandoned home. La Rosita fire fighters got the call around 6:50 am to a fire on old U.S. 83. Upon further investigation, authorities learned there was no power source to the residence. However, 42 bundles of marijuana were found inside the home totaling 464 pounds.
