Several Rio Grande Valley families will now be able to have their cases reviewed once again. 26 families will have their applications for assistance for Hurricane Dolly, reevaluated– after a district court ordered FEMA to stop using one rule used to determine damages. FEMA Assistance Deadline Fast Approaching

Mission (KFXV) — The FEMA Center in Mission will stop accepting financial assistance applications one week from today on August 10th.   The Disaster Assistance Center opened their doors on June 21st, just a few weeks after heavy storms destroyed and damaged hundreds of homes in Hidalgo County. FLINT, Mich. (AP) — Members of the Michigan National Guard are headed to Flint to help dole out bottled water, filters and other supplies to residents dealing with a drinking water crisis that began months ago.
