BROWNSVILLE (KFXV) — A man escapes police upon his arrest this afternoon in Brownsville. The fugitive was originally arrested for the possession of an unlicensed weapon. According to officials, he was found with a gun upon his arrest but once he was handcuffed, the situation became a little more complicated. BROWNSVILLE (KFXV) — The Cameron County Sheriff’s Office and Brownsville Police held a press conference about an inmate’s escape and shooting incident. Authorities tell us they are working on improving the inmate’s transport procedure after the inmate attacked a county guard, escaping and killing a Brownsville resident. Traffic Stop Leads to Discovery of Cocaine in Shoe

BROWNSVILLE (KFXV) — One man is arrested after failing to signal while changing lanes, and attempting to escape from law enforcement. 26-year-old Jose Alfredo Paz Jr was driving on the 600 block of Lindale Lane when officers recognized him from a previous investigation. He and the passenger to step out of the car after they were stopped. Human Trafficker Receives ‘Enhanced Sentence’

McAllen (KFXV) — A Mexican national received a 50 month sentence today in the McAllen Federal court for harboring undocumented immigrants. Between June and July of last year, thirty-year-old, Adan Hernandez-Nunez held undocumented immigrants in Palmhurst, where he raped one of the women who he blamed for another woman’s escape. Willacy County (KFXV) – 3 young adults are arrested after trying to rob an 8-liner business.
