Border Patrol Agents Rescue a Man near La Gloria

La Gloria (KFXV) – Agents along the border rescue a man found unconscious Thursday morning. According to border patrol the incident happened at La Gloria. Agents found the man, he was unresponsive and appeared to have suffered multiple snake bites. EMS transported the man, later identified as an El Salvadoran national for medical treatment. In a separate incident, a few hours later, agents in Brownsville discovered a drowned individual the Mexican riverbank. Mexican officials recovered the body. Student Pours Gas On Self During Class

PSJA (KFXV) — A high school student was transported to a local hospital after he doused himself with gasoline in front of his classmates. It happened during a morning fine arts class, we’ve been told he intended to set himself on fire. Thanks to a quick response from fellow classmates, he did not cause harm to himself or others. Home Health Care Worker faces Manslaughter Charges

Brownsville (KFXV) – A man is facing charges after restraining a teen he cared for. On Thursday, officers arrived at the 1400 Janet Lane to a medical emergency. Upon arrival, EMS notified police that a fifteen-year-old, Fernando Moreno who suffered from intellectual development disability had died. Moreno, the victim, who was a client of Serenity home care service at the time of his death was under the care Marcial Troncoso. Alton police responded to shots being fired on the 1000 block of Garfield Avenue around noon. The activity happened on the street and inside a home. Edinburg (KFXV) — A controlled brush fire got out of control sending two people to the hospital. The smoke was so bad a young girl and a woman had to be taken to the hospital after suffering asthma attacks. Rueben Gonzalez and his family were forced to leave their home when smoke filled the air.
