Armed Standoff Suspect Worked For Edinburg-ISD

At around noon today in Edinburg authorities were called out to the 1400 block of Shay Lane where allegedly an armed man had barricaded himself. Authorities tell FOX 2 NEWS that the man shoot his weapon a few times into the ceiling of the home prior to the arrival of the cops. According to preliminary information, the man was identified as Jack Treviño, former attorney for the Edinburg school district. Edinburg Man Charged With Sexually Abusing 2 Girls For Years

A disturbing case in Edinburg, a 60-year-old man accused of sexually abusing two girls for several years is now under arrest. FOX 2 is withholding his name to protect the victims but according to police he had access to the girls through their families, and it was the victims that made an outcry.
