This makes him the 10th known person to die while crossing into the US since the beginning of the year. Just seven days after finding a deceased body next to the Rio Grande. Cameron County Sheriff deputies investigate the drowning of a 3-year-old boy in Rio Hondo. The victim’s parents found him dead in a ‘resaca’, or, retention pond, located in their back yard near the intersection of FM-106 and FM-1847.
