Donna Home Invasion Becomes Violent Between Owner, Suspects

A Donna family is recovering from a violent home invasion just hours ago. Authorities say they may have been unintended victims. According to Donna police, a group of men stormed into a home looking for drugs and money on the 200-block of Church St. at around 6:30 p.m. A fight broke out between the owner and the suspects who then took off. Officers located their vehicle– which was set on fire– a short time later. They add drugs were found inside. CBP Seize Rare Pest In Progreso – Donna Port Of Entry

U.S. customs and border protection agriculture specialists at the Progreso-Donna port of entry recently intercepted a rare pest. During an examination of the trailer floor, which was importing cucumbers, a CBP agriculture specialist discovered a live insect. The pest was submitted for identification and determined it was a Tominotus Hogenhoferi, a quarantine significant pest which had only been intercepted twice before in the U.S., in Florida. Father Charged In Donna Fatal Rollover

A San Juan father has already paid the highest price a parent receive for not buckling up his children but now he may suffer time behind bars. Juan Inocencio Herrera, who is 24 years old has been charged in the death of his 2-month-old daughter Luz Clarita as well as in the injuries of his two other children. The 8 and 6 year-old received non-life threatening injuries. Herrera is accused of being the driver of a fatal rollover near donna lakes back in June.
