Housing options help autistic adults find independence

BY JAMIE STENGLE DALLAS (AP) — Masha Gregory was nervous to move out of her parents’ home and into her own place, where the 26-year-old Pennsylvania woman worried about making friends and being away from her parents. But after living in her own apartment at a complex that focuses on adults with autism, she’s made new friends and found she loves her independence. “It was great to move out because I have my own life now,” said Gregory, who lives in a Pittsburgh-area development where half of the 42 units are for those diagnosed with autism. “I want to...

AP source: Cowboys to release QB Romo when NFL year begins

BY SCHUYLER DIXON DALLAS (AP) — Tony Romo’s star-crossed career as the starting quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys will soon be over. LeBron James labels Charles Barkley ‘a hater’ for criticism

DALLAS (AP) — LeBron James has apparently had enough of Charles Barkley’s criticism. Barkley took issue last week with James’ call for the Cavaliers to secure another playmaker to help contend for a second-straight NBA title. The outspoken TNT "Inside the NBA" analyst called James "inappropriate" and "whiny." James told ESPN following the Cavs 104-97 loss at Dallas on Monday night that Barkley is "a hater" and added that he’s not going to let Barkley "disrespect my legacy." James also brought up some of Barkley’s past controversies and legal troubles, before saying, "All I’ve done for my entire career...

"If we get a win, we win the division and get a home playoff game," said Stafford, who lost Monday night on the same field where he dropped to 0-2 in the playoffs with a wild-card loss two...

Did the Giants expose the Cowboys in sweep of Dallas?

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — Maybe instead of looking at what the Cowboys have been doing to the rest of the league, NFL teams should look at what the Giants did to the Cowboys this season. And who knows, maybe what New York could do again should they meet in the playoffs. Dallas’ offense ripped through nearly every opponent during an 11-game winning streak that began after a 20-19 home loss to New York in the season opener. That string ended under the powerful pressure the Giants applied on defense Sunday night: a strong pass rush; sticky coverage of...
