According to a criminal complaint filed by the Edinburg Police Department, an officer stopped the driver of a vehicle — later identified as Juan Eduardo Garcia of Rio Grande City — for running a red light. The officer saw Garcia exhibiting symptoms of intoxication — and Garcia admitted to having at least one beer. Police arrested Garcia — who refused a breathalyzer test. One Detained After Shooting in Downtown McAllen

McAllen (KFXV) – In McAllen, a man is facing charges after a shooting Monday evening. Fifty-five-year-old Jose Marcos Gonzalez is facing three charges including delivery of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and unlawfully carrying a weapon. Officers responded to 14th 1/2  and Lindberg Avenue after reports of shots fired. A preliminary investigation revealed a drug transaction had gone badly, and led to the shooting. Pharr (KFXV) – Police in Pharr respond to an auto dealership on the 1800 block of North cage after three vehicles were reported stolen. According to investigators taken from this car lot. That same morning, during a traffic stop, police located one of the vehicles being driven by a male identified as Marlin Maldonado near the intersection of Ferguson and Veterans Road. According to the department, on Sunday, an officer observed a vehicle traveling around the 500 block of East Alton Gloor. Cameron County (KFXV) — Brownsville police arrested one man for selling narcotics. According to officials, while conducting surveillance on the 1800 block of Dan Street, agents with the department’s special investigations unit observed their suspect — identified as Oscar Munoz — allegedly selling drugs out of his home. After notifying Munoz of the ongoing investigation during a traffic stop, Munoz consented to a search of his residence.
