Child Pornographer Gets 120 Months in Prison

McALLEN (KFXV) — In McAllen, a 27-year-old man is headed to prison on child pornography charges. Investigators discovered, Jorge Trevino-Blanco’s computer received child porn through a peer-to-peer network online. Blanco admitted to exchanging the illegal files for four years. Agents seized two laptops, and an external hard drive containing 123 videos and 282 images of children from three to 12 years of age, engaged in sadistic and violent acts. Mid-Day Shooting Leaves One Dead in Edcouch

Edcouch (KFXV) – the Texas Rangers are investigating a deadly – shooting that happened over the weekend – near the Edcouch-Elsa School District Administration building. The victim is identified as 35-years-old – Juan Manuel Belmarez – shot multiple times while – driving his vehicle in the middle of the day on Southern Avenue and Reyes Street. New Years Day Collision Kills RGC Woman

A Sunday morning collision caused an additional death, this time in Rio Grande City. Etelvina Hernandez, 24-years-old and resident of Rio Grande city, was driving her black GMC envoy southbound on Embassy Road near FM 755 when she lost control of her vehicle and struck a tree. The vehicle rolled over, and partially ejected Hernandez. Hernandez sustained major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
