MCALLEN (KFXV) — A new building will replace the tents where hundreds of immigrants are housed at the Humanitarian Respite Center thanks to a contribution by the Diocese of Brownsville and Catholic Charities. The Sacred Heart Catholic Church is planning a permanent location to continue helping the hundreds of immigrants that arrive here daily.The 2 million dollar facility will be located on 16th Street right across the current center.
