Authorities tell us they are working on improving the inmate’s transport procedure after the inmate attacked a county guard, escaping and killing a Brownsville resident. Charges Dropped for Former Judge

CAMERON COUNTY (KFXV) — One charge is dropped in a former Cameron County Judge’s case. Former Cameron County Judge, Pete Sepulveda Jr. will not stand trial after reaching an agreement with state prosecutors. The state dropped a charge of misappropriation of funds citing insufficient evidence. Sepulveda was placed on the pre-trial diversion program for the other two charges against him. Cameron County (KFXV) — A man wanted for murder in Cameron County is behind bars. His arrest came 13 years after the crime. Sheriff Lucio who says investigators received a call from agents in Matamoros who said the suspect Ciro Cantu Muñoz would be crossing an international bridge in Brownsville.. 42-year-old Ciro Muñoz Cantu was arrested and charged for a murder he’s believed to have committed thirteen years ago. Man Arrested for Allegedly Murdering Mother-In-Law

Cameron County (KFXV) — We have an update now – authorities in Cameron County discovered the body of a woman, bound with zip ties and rope, weighted down in the Laguna Madre. Fox news has learned the woman’s son-in-law, 59-year-old Monte Eric Jordan has been charged with first degree murder and being held without a bond.
