Edinburg (KFXV) — Authorities are on the lookout for this man– who they say went into a daycare just hours ago– in an attempt to forcibly take a child. The attempted kidnapping happened at approximately five o’clock at the Albatross Daycare Center located on 3151 Centerpoint Drive in Edinburg. Police tell us, an adult male went into the daycare center and attempted to take a female child against her will. Parents Interrogated in Death of 7-Month-Old

Edinburg (KFXV)–The parents of a 7 month old baby who died yesterday are being interrogated. We reported first on Fox, that the parents called police and told them their child was unconscious but, when police arrived the baby was already dead. According to police, there were no signs of foul play but ordered an autopsy report and it revealed the infant girl’s death was caused by blunt force trauma to the head. Former Starr-Camargo International Bridge Employee Facing 280 Counts of Theft

A former Starr-Camargo International Bridge employee is facing 280 counts of theft. 51-year-old Osbelia Ruiz is accused of stealing between $100,000-$200,000 between 2010 and 2012. The FBI turned over the investigation to the Starr County District Attorney who presented the case to a Grand Jury. Ruiz was indicted in May and failed to show up in court for her arraignment in June, apparently due to contracting E-Coli from infected wounds, following a hysterectomy. One individual is in police custody after he flipped his car, and then fled the scene of crash. According to Lieutenant Oscar Trevino, a 38 year old male is behind bars for his involvement in a single-vehicle crash, happening Sunday at 2 pm, on the 2900 block of Lakeshore Drive in Edinburg.
