A man wanted for theft and injuring an employee with a crowbar at the border drive thru in Donna is behind bars tonight.

31-year-old Omar Manzano turned himself in to hidalgo county authorities Thursday after being sought by police. Surveillance video showed Manzano pull into the business located on allegro drive in Donna. Police say he injured the employee and then took off with the cash register.

Manzano faced charges for aggravated assault and was given a $350,000 bond. This is not Manzano’s first run in with the law, he’s previously been charged with driving while intoxicated.
