McAllen (KFXV) — A man is behind bars in connection to a shooting at a local night club.
The incident happened Sunday morning as dozens were leaving the 17th street area.

Yelling and screaming can be heard on a video that surfaced of the night of the shooting that left a man injured.

This is video after gunfire broke out at a nightclub located in the 100 block of south 17th street in McAllen.
Thirty-five-year-old, Jose Gabriel Romero, is detained in connection to the shooting and faces one count of aggravated assault and another for unlawful possession of a firearm with bond set at 120-thousand dollars.
One local club manager tells Fox he has implemented several methods of security to avoid these types of incidents.

Gerardo Martinez says the area is highly patrolled on weekends.

The victim hospitalized and treated for his injuries and later released. Police have not specified were the man was shot or identified him.
Investigators are continuing to try to determine what sparked Romero to shoot the victim.
