The suspect accused of ramming a stolen vehicle into a police unit Tuesday near Los Ebanos, faces a judge this afternoon.
20-year-old Eusebio Espinosa is charged with aggravated assault against a public servant and resisting arrest.
Authorities say Espinosa was driving a stolen Chevrolet Impala toward the Los Ebanos International Ferry. After refusing to stop for police, Espinosa rammed the car into the officer’s patrol vehicle; that officer then opened fire. Espinosa’s bond is set at $55,000.
