Harlingen (KFXV) — Fox 2 News speaks to the people who found a woman with serious injuries in a Harlingen alleyway.
The witness says at the beginning it was difficult to recognize that what was in the alleyway was the body of a woman.
They say the noises she was making were not human-like.
This was exactly where authorities found the woman with life-threatening injuries. The orange lines drawn by police to identify where the body was lying are still visible at the North Village Apartment Complex in Harlingen .
According to the Harlingen Police Department the discovery was made around 6 in the morning Thursday.
Officer Larry Moore tells us the woman is reportedly around 30 years of age and is currently hospitalized in critical but stable condition with trauma to the head and chest.
Moore says right now the woman is heavily medicated stopping them from conducting official interviews on her side of the story.
He says they are questioning several people, collecting evidence and continuing the investigation in hopes of revealing what took place in the alley.
