Police Searching for Persons of Interest in Year-Old Unsolved Homicide Case
Although a year has gone by authorities say there hasn’t been a day investigators have not looked into this case, which is why they hope this surveillance video can bring about some answers.
It was on October 25, 2013 when 20 year old Jolissa Rangel was gunned down by several armed men in her apartment, where she lived with her son and sister on the 2400 block of Kimberly Lane, and although time has gone by, neighbors still remember this tragic night. Authorities say in a case with little evidence they continue to work hard to bring justice to Rangel and her family. They hope this newly released video showing two men entering a convenience store near the area moments before the incident took place can help them find some answers. Lieutenant Trevino says they will continue to seek justice and hope this can help them move forward in the investigation. If you have any information that can help authorities identity these persons of interest, call Edinburg Police Crime Stoppers at (956) 383-8477.
