Narcotics Raid Suspect Faces Judge

One of the three suspects arrested during a narcotics raid at an Edinburg business stood before a judge earlier today.

Fifty-four year old José Mena was charged for his involvement in illegal narcotics activity taking place at ‘Joe’s Tire Shop’ located on the 2100 block of east Schunior Street. Authorities raided the business Wednesday at approximately 4 pm, after several weeks of undercover investigations. Oscar Trevino, spokesperson for the Edinburg Police Department, says Mena has previous drug related charges, in addition to the one he received today. Trevino adds that officers confiscated 6.3 grams of cocaine during the raid.
