In Brownsville, U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers seized approximately $656,000 worth of cocaine.
It was yesterday at the Gateway International bridge that they made the discovery when the 19-year-old female driver of a 2005 Chevy Malibu was called for a second inspection.
It was there that 12 packages were found containing around 9.32-kilograms of alleged cocaine.
CBP officers confiscated the narcotics and vehicle and turned the female over to U.S. Homeland Security.
