Man Facing Charges After Allegedly Running Over 8 Pedestrians

A man is facing charges after he allegedly ran over 8 pedestrians on Sunday.

McAllen police arrested 21 year old Aldrin Espinoza on eight separate charges of aggravated assault stemming from the incident that occurred around 2:27 am on Sunday near the area of 200 block south 15th street where 8 people suffered minor injuries as a result of being struck by a motor vehicle driven by Espinoza.

According to police, Espinoza fled the scene after the hit and run.

Investigators determined that Espinoza was involved in a disturbance on Beaumont avenue where he was allegedly assaulted by the individuals that he struck with his vehicle.

Espinoza remains in custody on a 600 thousand dollar total bond.
