Cameron County (KFXV) — Jury selection is underway in a capital murder trial.
Omar Montemayor is accused of killing his estranged wife, her unborn child and her friend in Harlingen in September of 2012.

The Cameron County district attorney’s office says Montemayor is charged with capital murder after he forced his way into his wife’s home and shot his victims and then turned the gun on himself in a failed attempt to commit suicide.
State prosecutors say, they are not seeking the death penalty in this case.
