EDINBURG (KFXV) — An investigation is underway after the death of a 2-month-old baby.
The Hidalgo County Sheriff’s office have released few details but believe the death is not the result of foul play.

Authorities were called to the 5600 block of Oscar Loop in rural Alamo this morning on a report of an unresponsive baby.

An ambulance was at the scene to provide life saving procedures. The two-month old was transported to a nearby hospital – but was pronounced dead.

The county’s crime scene unit arrived at the scene to investigate the case – although authorities say there appears to be no signs of foul play.

Authorities tell us the investigation is pending the results of an autopsy.
