Jesus Garza, the mariachi program director for the school district of La Joya was taken into federal custody.
ICE agents executed a search warrant at Jesus Garza’s residence on the 2000 block of 20th St. in Mission.
But in addition to his arrest, federal investigators confiscated undisclosed items from his house.
Garza’s parents tell FOX 2 NEWS that agents told their daughter-in-law they were in search for drugs although this was not confirmed by authorities.
On the other hand, la Joya I.S.D., decided to place the mariachi director on administrative leave with pay while the investigation is continues.
At this point very little information has been disclosed however Garza will show up in federal court tomorrow and it is then that we will know the charges he is facing.
