The suspect involved in a pursuit with Hidalgo County sheriff’s deputies has been charged for his wrongdoing.

17 year old Jose Luz Salinas is facing one count for evading arrest with a motor vehicle, three counts of assault on a public servant and one count of unlawful carrying of a weapon.

According to an Hidalgo County sheriff’s department press release, Salinas was involved in a high speed chase on Sunday night with sheriff’s deputies.

A pursuit which ended when a deputy fired his government issued weapon and fired at the suspect.

Salinas suffered a non life threatening injury and now sits at Hidalgo County jail on a one million 500 dollar bond.
