Members of a group called “Come and Take it Texas” followed protesters who marched through downtown Dallas earlier this week. They weren’t there to protect the protesters but to protect private property. The group says they respect marchers’ right to protest, but wanted to protect local businesses and homes from any damage that may occur if the protest got out of hand. The protest was in response to a grand jury decision not to indict a Ferguson, Missouri officer for the death of unarmed teen Michael Brown. The protesters remained peaceful and officers didn’t make any arrests.
