What once was a narcotics distribution center in the city of Port Isabel will now be a school of culinary arts.

According to Port Isabel police chief, ‘Wally’ Gonzalez, the once known yacht club located on Yuturria and Gomez streets, remains under strong police surveillance after being bought out by the city for 750- thousand dollars.

Their plan now is to make it a culinary arts school for the Rio Grande valley region.

Municipal authorities expect this project to be up and running by early 2016.
