Edinburg — What began as a small electrical fire in Edinburg turned into a large structure fire.

According to fire officials the smoke and flames could be seen from 3 miles away.

The blaze began around 1pm at 1617 Ciguena drive. The flames quickly spread to a warehouse storing around 3 to 5 thousand wooden pallets.

After 3 hours of fighting the flames, several firefighters were treated for heat exhaustion, others for chemical inhalation.

Those firefighters are expected to be okay.

No other injuries were reported.
