A father and son found guilty of assaulting an undercover ICE Agent will not be retried on attempted murder charge.
Pedro and Arnoldo Alvarado were on trial last week for the shooting of ICE Agent Kelton Harrison in Hargill in July 3, 2012.
Judge Randy Crane ruled the attempted murder charge a mistrial after a jury was not able to reach a verdict on Friday. Although they did find them both guilty of assault of a federal officer and use of a firearm to commit the crime.
Pedro and Arnoldo Alvarado await a sentencing hearing, meanwhile defense attorneys will be working on an appeal to the current guilty verdicts.
