HIDALGO COUNTY (KFXV) — A lawsuit filed Wednesday involving two former political rivals alleges money laundering.
The lawsuit was filed by former Hidalgo County Precinct One Commissioner AC Cuellar, against current commissioner, Daniel Fuentes.
According to court documents, Weslaco1 attorney, Ezequiel Reyna, Jr. made significant contributions to Fuentes’ campaign– and conspired to launder cash through Fuentes’ personal checking accoun.
We also reached out to attorney Ezequiel Reyna — who told fox news – he hasn’t seen the lawsuit but says he is sure the petition has no facts to support the allegations being made.
Adding, it is inappropriate to file false allegations against a person. We will continue to follow the story and bring you further details as it develops.
