According to the chamber of commerce McAllen, Brownsville and Harlingen combine to form the northern half of the Rio-Plex and are among the most rapidly growing regions in America.

In fact, the McAllen-Edinburg-Mission region was ranked the 4th fastest growing in the U.S. between 1990 and 2000. Inc. Magazine recognized McAllen as one of the nation’s boomtowns, or hottest cities for entrepreneurs.

In an effort to assist local and national businesses to be successful and comply with Texas regulations the workforce commission hosted a business conference today
