Victim Identified in Weslaco Fatal Collision

Weslaco (KFXV) — Police have identified the victim as 42-year-old Priscilla Ann Jimenez Trejo. They also say her 11-year-old son was sent to the hospital where he remains in stable condition. Weslaco police say it all started with a minor, three-car collision around 7:30 this morning. The drivers pulled over onto the shoulder lane near the Westgate Drive overpass then got out of their vehicles to report the accident. The second collision caused the death of Priscilla Jimenez-Trejo. Three other people, including Priscilla’s son were transported to the hospital. Two Brownsville Men Arrested for Drug Possession

Brownsville (KFXV) — In Brownsville, an erratic driver is arrested after police find drugs in his jeep. Agents saw the car commit several traffic violations on Paredes Line Road. When the vehicle came to a stop, agents saw a heavy-set male exit in a hurry and walk onto a property. The driver was detained and identified as Hugo Arevalo. Arevalo had a 2.6 pound block of cocaine inside the vehicle. Agents searched the property and found the passenger identified as Emiliano Garza. They also found cocaine at his home. The Brownsville Police Department would like to advise the public about a recent shipping scam that’s come to light. The company/suspect will contact you via email phone or web offering you a chance to make money from home by inspecting and shipping items that will be mailed to you. You’ll then be sent a credit card that you use to make purchases and ship those items to where the company says.
