BROWNSVILLE (KFXV) — Police made an arrest over the weekend of two individuals for possession of controlled substances.
According to the department, on Sunday, an officer observed a vehicle traveling around the 500 block of East Alton Gloor. The vehicle — with Georgia plates — had previously been signaled as possibly carrying narcotics. After stopping the vehicle, the female driver attempted to give police a fake name.
Law enforcement identified her, and her male passenger, as 33-year-old Vanessa Chavira, and 27-year-old, Benjamin Clark Plymale, both with outstanding warrants in Hall County, Georgia.
Both were placed under arrest, and during a search of the vehicle, authorities found several pills considered a controlled substance. Both received charges of possession of a controlled substance and a pending warrant.
