Rio Grande City (KFXV) — Authorities are searching for the people responsible in the deadly shooting of a father and son. Multiple law enforcement agencies have joined forces.
Investigators have identified the victims of this shooting -one of them a 3-year-old boy.
Starr County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call Sunday afternoon in reference to a shooting at the intersection of Woods Brothers Rd and Sagunada. According to authorities, 41-year-old, Hector Garcia Jr. was gunned down by several individuals who were driving a blue Ford f-250.
The child identified as Julian Garcia, was in the vehicle with his father when the shooting took place. He passed away at the hospital due to multiple gunshot wounds. Rio Grande City residents are in disbelief.
Texas rangers along with district attorney investigators are assisting the sheriff’s office with the investigation of this case and are asking the community for their help.
