Harlingen ATV Crash Leaves One Dead

Harlingen (KFXV) — Authorities with the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to a fatal crash, early Sunday morning. According to investigators, the incident took place on Ebony road north of FM 508 around 3:30 am on Sunday. Police say – an ATV occupied by two people was traveling southbound on Ebony road. The passenger fell off the ATV and suffered major injuries. The passenger, identified as 28-year-old Jacob Israel Flores, was transported to Valley Baptist Medical Center where he later died. Harlingen (KFXV) –A man accused of several crimes including beating a woman is still on the loose. Investigators are asking for the help of all Fox viewers to find third man , identified as 24-year-old Cesar Eduardo Tienda. He’s accused of hitting a woman until she lost consciousness. Federal Agents Arrest San Juan Police Officer

San Juan (KFXV) –A San Juan Police officer, was placed under federal custody Thursday, but details of his arrest have not yet been released. San Juan Police Chief Juan Gonzalez, confirmed to Fox news, that federal agents arrested officer Richard Castillo, but couldn’t go into detail about the federal investigation as well as expressing, having no details on the cause of his arrest. Man Issued Life Sentence for Sexually Assaulting Teen

Edinburg (KFXV) — Last week, a judge handed a man a life sentence for sexually assaulting a teenager. A jury found 32-year-old, Lionel James Gonzalez guilty for assaulting the daughter of his sister-in-law in June of 2016. Gonzalez — who served a previous sentence in Indiana for one count of sexual misconduct of a minor, and had another dismissed — began to “manipulate” a 15-year-old that lived in the house he stayed in. Woman Faces Fifth Deportation After DWI Charge

Hidalgo County (KFXV) — A woman is facing her fifth deportation after she pleaded guilty for driving while intoxicated. I.C.E. agents detained 42-year-old Marisol Guevara-Perez — and Alamo resident — at the Hidalgo County Jail. According to court documents, in July of 2014, officials deported Perez for the fourth time. She then crossed back into the United States ten days after crossing the Rio Grande River near the city of Progresso.
