Hidalgo County sheriff’s deputies are looking for two men involved in an aggravated robbery this weekend in Weslaco.

It happened around 8:30 am Saturday at the “corner stop drive thru” on the corner of Mile 9 north and mile 6 1/2 west in rural Weslaco.

Sheriff’s deputies immediately responded to the scene after learning one of the suspects pointed a handgun at the employee while making demands. He also discharged the weapon inside the store. No one was injured.

Authorities released surveillance photos of the suspects and the suspect vehicle. The first suspect is described as a Hispanic male wearing a multi colored baseball cap, black shirt, and jeans. He was displaying a silver colored firearm.

The second suspect was described as Hispanic male wearing a white shirt and black shorts. He also had a white cloth around his neck to avoid being recognized.

Both suspects made off with the cash register and were seen leaving the area in a dark color pickup truck, possibly a Chevrolet model.
