Maria Perez

Maria Perez was born in Reynosa Tamaulipas and is originally from Mission, TX. Since she was 15 years old she participated in Television commercials as an Actor for Extreme Cycles motorcycle business which aired on Univision, Fox, Time Warner Cable, ESPN and KRGV channel 5 and that is where she grew her passion to work on television. Later at the age of 17 she graduated from Veterans Memorial High School with honors from South Texas College as a Patient Care Assistant and Phlebotomist. She also worked for International Bank of Commerce for 2 years as a Sales Representative. After finishing her time at the bank she started her internship at Entravision assisting with production and news team and that is where she demonstrated her passion and motivation to work as a Journalist and Weather Anchor. At her 20 years of age she started her Journalist career at Entravision McAllen as a bilingual Weather Anchor for Univision 48 and the Valley’s Fox News forming part of the Alegre Despertar and Good Day Valley morning shows. Maria received an Associate’s degree in Mass Communication and Advertising Public Relations where she currently attends the University of Texas Pan American to receive her Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism. On her free time she enjoys exercising and spending quality time with her family.

Her biggest influences in life are her parents and only brother who have showed her the importance of unity and unconditional love. Maria has a passion towards her job which she enjoys day by day to always improve and challenge herself. She declares that the best day of her life was when she joined the Entravision team making her dream come true.
