12 Year Murder Case Re-Opens

Hidalgo County (KFXV) — In Hidalgo County, a 12 year murder case re-opens with the defense asking for more time.

Attorneys for Claudio Alberto Morales, the main suspect in the case — requesting to review more evidence and to contact other witnesses that may be key during trial.
Reports show Morales’ blood found at the scene of the homicide. DNA testing showed a match to his blood from another crime involving a bank theft. The suspect charged with capital murder and given a million dollar bond.

Morales’ next hearing is scheduled for March 20th.
